Anna Fialkovich Lertola, 89, of New Britain, died at home peacefully on November 12, 2006. She was the wife of Aldo Lertola who died in 1965. Surviving members of her immediate family are her daughter, Catherine Germain and her grandchildren, Laurie, Arthur III and Brian Germain who were by her side at the time of her death. Born in Grandville, NY, Anna and her husband Aldo moved to New Britain in 1938. Anna was employed by the Emhart Corporation for over 30 years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of St. Ann's Church, St. Ann's Ladies Guild and the New Britain Senior Center. Her greatest passion was playing bingo. Anna made many friends throughout her life. Her family would like to thank her closest and dearest friends, Elaine, Claudette, Shirley and Dick, and Pat for being so loving and kind to her. She was preceded in death by her brothers, George and Mike Fialkovich, her sisters Mary Rodd, Kathryn Dearstyne and her husband Ed Dearstyne, and a nephew, Richard Dearstyne. Other surviving members of her family include her nephews, Michael Fialko and William Dearstyne, and a niece Linda Dearstyne and her husband Gary Pitkin. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at St. Ann's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday evening from 4-8 PM at Ericskon-Hansen Funeral Home.
