Anna Mary Danko, 87, of Kensington, passed away early Tuesday morning at the Hospital of Central CT, surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of George Edward Danko who died in 1993.
Born in East Berlin, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Kata) Konefal. Anna lived in East Berlin before moving to Kensington. She was a member of St. Paul’s Church and the American Legion Post 68. Anna enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Surviving are a daughter, Katherine Suprenant and her husband Henry of Berlin; a son, Joseph Danko and his wife Donnamarie of New Britain; three sisters, Bernice Chausse of East Berlin, Clara Bakaj of Lebanon, and Helen Bloise of Oakfield, ME; four grandchildren, Steven Suprenant, Dawn Suprenant, Jennifer Danko Mangifico, and Kate Grenier; eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her grandson, Paul “Shemp” Suprenant, and by a brother, Dr. Stanley Konefal.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at St. Paul’s Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 2-4 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home
