Anna Jane DePinto Conti, 99, of New Britain, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004 at New Britain General Hospital. She was the widow of Natale Conti who died in 1973. Born in East Hampton, she was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. John DePinto. Anna was a resident of New Britain most of her life and was a member of St. Ann's Church. Anna loved her family and was a devoted mother and mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving are her devoted daughters, Madeline Lugli and husband Wallace of New Britain, and Eleanor Shaw and husband Robert, also of New Britain; five sisters, Pauline Catalina of New Britain, Louise Tufano of Harwinton, Rose Kelly of Southington, Ceil "Mary" Sisson of Plainville, and Betty Zita of New Britain; three brothers, Albert DePinto of Newington, James DePinto of Plainville, John DePinto of Watertown; six grandchildren and spouses, Laura Graveline, Wallace and Cindy Lugli, Doreen and Thomas Nadeau, Paul and Linda Shumsky, Susan Lugli, and Darlene and Mark Jones; seven great-grandchildren, Jason and Matthew Nadeau, Casey Kara and Eric Lugli, Bryan and Samantha Jones; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Anna was predeceased by a daughter, Katherine Shumsky; and by two brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday evening from 5-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
