Ann Louise Austin, 60, of Kensington, died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 5, 2003 at home. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Charlotte Wunsch Nichols. She was a Kensington resident since 1970 and was formerly employed as a Medical Technologist at New Britain General Hospital. She was a member of the Calvary Christian Center, and was a founding member of the Berlin Association for Special Education. Ann also served as a Hospice Volunteer. Surviving are her husband, Carroll Austin; two sons, Scott Austin and his wife Cheryl of New Britain, Timothy Austin of Bloomfield, a daughter, Susan Austin and her partner Julie of Glencoe, MD: three sisters, Jane Nichols of New Britain, Sarah Nichols of Kensington, and Grace Nichols of Tipton, IA; three grandchildren, Devon Austin, Aimi Austin and Jordan Austin; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in South Burying Ground, Kensington.
