Angelo Saraceno

Angelo Saraceno, 85, loving husband of Olga Saraceno, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 after a long illness with his family by his side. He was born on January 8, 1938 in Augusta, Sicily Italy to Vincenzo and Maria Coronella Saraceno.

Mr. Saraceno was employed at Fafnir Bearing Co. for 33 years before retiring. He also served in the Italian Army.  Angelo was a member of St. Ann Church, as well as the Generale Ameglio Civic Association of New Britain and the Italian Political Independent Club of Berlin.  He enjoyed gardening and spending time at the Generale Ameglio club.

In addition to his wife Olga, he is survived by his sons, Vincent Saraceno and his wife Rebecca of Farmington and Sebastian Saraceno and his wife Nancy of East Hampton; his daughter, Maria Labbadia and her husband Joseph of Berlin; and six grandchildren, Anna, Angela, and Jacqueline Saraceno, Melissa Tartaglino, Jenna and Daniel Labbadia.  He also leaves many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 27, at 9:30 am at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at St. Ann Church, 101 North St., New Britain.  Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.  Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
