Angela Greenlee

Ms. Angela Greenlee was born on November 22, 1968 in Birmingham Alabama to the late Elbert and Carrie Greenlee. She entered into eternal rest on Monday December 5, 2022.

Angela Greenlee was a lifelong member of New Britain Connecticut, and was very well known. She had a bubbly personality and was the life of the party. To know her was to love her. She had an incredible group of friends who were more like family to her. She was the type of person that everyone wanted to be around. Angela truly loved her biological family. She often checked in on their wellbeing.  She was the one who many of the nieces and nephews would go to for advice or for a kind word. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, colleague and friend. She touched the lives of so many people both near and far.

On July 24 th 1989, Angela gave birth to a beautiful daughter named Tia. Tia was Angela’s only child. They had an unbreakable mother daughter bond. Tia was truly the light of Angela’s life. The love that she had for Tia was unconditional and infinite. There was nothing that Angela wouldn’t do for Tia. She was a constant support and anchor for Tia throughout her entire life.  On February 19, 2011 Angela became a grandmother to an adorable baby girl named Madison. Madison quickly became the apple of Angela’s eye. Angela, more affectionately known to Madison as Boobah was an amazing and active grandparent.  She and Madison often enjoyed watching movies together, joy riding, and shopping. Madison loved her Boobah so very much.

Angela was an avid Eagles fan and Everyone knew it. She had no problem expressing her opinion about her favorite team. She would never miss a game, and always made it a point to jump on to Facebook after a game to share her dislike for the opposing teams.  The friendly banter back and forth with family members and friends will forever be remembered.

Angela was most recently employed as a Receptionist for PWC in Hartford CT, and as a caregiver for individuals with disabilities at Dungarvin located in Rocky Hill.

Angela is survived by her daughter Tia Vann. One granddaughter, Madison Vann-Rose, Two brothers, Carl and Michael Greenlee. Five sisters, Sandra Mercer, Brenda Simmons, Marion James, Mary Crawford, and Belinda Greenlee. She also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Angela is predeceased by her father, Elbert Greenlee, her mother Carrie Greenlee, and four sisters, Vicky Mobley, Rose Darby, Olivia Greenlee and Cheryl Ann Greenlee.

Angela Greenlee, an irreplaceable New Britain legend, who will forever be missed.
