Angela A. (Robino) Caliandri, 89, of Berlin, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012. She was the widow of Frank A. Caliandri. She was born in New Britain on June 29, 1923 and was the daughter of the late Robert Robino Sr., Angelina (Gagliardi) Robino, and step mother, Rose (Squillacote) Robino. Angie was a wonderful cook and homemaker and loved making her specialties for her family. She loved the Lord and was a member of Crossroads Church of God in Berlin for many years. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Surviving are five children, Betty Jutras and husband Donat of Newington, Dante Caliandri and his wife Sarah, Camille Rice, Roberta Veleas and husband Leo, Angela Larson and husband Rev. Robert Larson Jr., all of Berlin; twelve grandchildren and their spouses, Donna (Scott) Wacker, Derek (Kristine) Jutras, Brett (Jennifer) Jutras, Mark (Danielle) Caliandri, David (Christine) Caliandri, Sandra (Jim) Wulff, Richard Rice, Peter (Lisa) Veleas, Leah (Michael) O'Leary, Christa (Leo) Civitillo, Robert (Vanessa) Larson, and Christopher (Jill) Larson; and nineteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her beloved sister and brother, Marie Thelen and Robert (Diana) Robino; a sister-in-law, Mary (Caliandri) Fangiullo; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family would like to thank Apple Rehabilitation in Cromwell (Ridgeview Healthcare Center) for their loving care and kindness. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the Crossroads Church of God. Burial will be in Maple Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.
