Ana L. Saavedra

Ana L. Saavedra, 73, of Kissimmee, FL, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021 at Advent Health in Orlando, FL. She was the widow of Efrain Saavedra who died in 2008.

Born in Ponce, PR, she was the daughter of the late Salvador Garcia Vargas and Josefa Hernandez Sanchez. Ana was a long time New Britain resident before moving to Florida 21 years ago. She was formerly employed at Stanley Works for 21 years before retiring. Ana was a member of St. Mary Church in New Britain.

Surviving are her children, Maria Coyle, Haydee Masi, Charlie Saavedra, and Danny Wassil; a sister, Maria Davis; three brothers, Salvador Garcia Jr., Osvaldo Garcia, and Cecilio Garcia; three grandchildren, Adrianna Coyle, Michael Coyle, and Gabriel Masi; three great-grandchildren, Maximus Coyle, Mila Belle Coyle, and Jaylene Caro; beloved godchildren Angela Malenfant and Joseph Davis; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:30 am at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at St. Mary Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
