Amareliz Velazquez

Amareliz Velazquez, 33, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of Jose Velazquez Sr and Elizabeth (Delgado) Velazquez.  Amareliz graduated from E.C. Goodwin Technical High School in 2003 and Branford Hall in 2015. She was a New Britain resident for the past 22 years. She was previously employed by Sodexo at the UCONN Health Center and at National Seating and Mobility as a Health Claims Specialist.  She was a member of the Family Worship Church.

In addition to her parents Jose and Elizabeth, she is survived by a son, Isaiah Hernandez of New Britain; a brother, Jose Velazquez Jr. and his wife Christina of Wolcott; and three nephews, Nathan, Jesse, and Xavier.
