Alyce Avedisian

Alyce Avedisian, 87, of North Andover, MA, and formerly of New Britain, CT, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010 at Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence, MA. She was the widow of Charles Avedisian. Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Hampasom and Arshalous Charkjian Basmajian. She lived in New Britain for 45 years before moving to North Andover in 1998. She was a member of the Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection in New Britain and the Daughters of Vartan. Surviving are her daughter, Carole Avedisian of North Andover, MA; her son, C. Thomas Avedisian of Ithica, NY; two grandchildren, Randy Hagopian and wife Dara of Haverhill MA and Kim Almasian and husband Joseph of Westford, MA; and three great-grandchildren, Armen Almasian, Meline Almasian, and Tamar Almasian. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection, New Britain, CT. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection, 1910 Stanley St., New Britain, CT 06053.
