Alicia Sosa De Jesus, age 72, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026, in Hartford, Connecticut. She was born in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, and carried her love for family, culture, and community with her throughout her life.

Alicia was the loving companion of Ismael Cabrera. She is survived by her son, Melvin Cabrera and his wife, Zoraida Cabrera, as well as her stepdaughter, Jessy Cordero and her husband, Santos Cordero. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Ariana Cabrera and Michaela Cabrera. She is also survived by many other cherished family members, including numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Alicia was known for her generous heart and her deep love for others. She found great joy in cooking for family and friends, always bringing people together through her delicious meals and warm hospitality. She was a beautiful and kind soul who loved deeply and never hesitated to help those in need. Her compassion, strength, and loving spirit touched the lives of many, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home in New Britain, Connecticut, on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., where loved ones will gather to honor and celebrate Alicia’s life.
