Alice ''Beverly'' Z. Hoosigian

Alice Beverly Onanian Hoosigian, 76 of Venice FL, died peacefully on Monday, July 7th at the Hospice House in Venice, Florida. She was the loving wife of the late Given Hoosigian who predeceased her in March 1993. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Alice Caffegian Onanian. She lived in New Britain and Newington, CT for most of her life before moving to Florida permanently in 1997. She was a member of the Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection in New Britain and Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Osprey, FL. She was also an active, long standing member of the Armenian Church Ladies Guild and supporter of many church sponsored events. All that knew Beverly had a wonderful opportunity to meet a warm, compassionate and sincere human being. Her ability to always smile and find the best in everyone and everything was a gift she shared with all. In addition to a being a loving wife, she was a wonderful mother, loving grandmother and great- grandmother GG as she was affectionately referred to. She enjoyed being with family and friends as well as traveling and most certainly shopping. Surviving Beverly are her 3 children and their spouses, Tom and Lynn Hoosigian of Newington, CT, Tom and Linda Schulte of Cumming, GA and Jim and Cheryl Grasso of Tampa, FL. She also leaves many grandchildren, Dana and Dave Bochan and great grandson Drew Bochan, grandchildren Jennifer Hoosigian, Erin, Kara and Taylor Mulryan, Tom, David and Jim Schulte and Matthew and Stephanie Grasso. Beverly was predeceased by her brother, Harold Onanian and sister Gloria Azarigian. She is survived by her little sister, Gail Onanian, whom she enjoyed a lifetime of love and memories. She also leaves many special nieces and nephews. She would not want us to forget the many special friends in Florida, especially from Casa Seville in Venice, all whom have provided her with love and support during her many years of enjoying her Florida residence. Funeral service will be held Monday at 10:00 at the Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection. She will lay to rest next to her lifelong companion, Given, whom she has missed these past 10 years. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home on Sunday, July 13th from 5:00 - 8:00. Also, a memorial service will be held in Florida at 11:00 on Saturday, September 13th at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish at 838 Parish Tamiami Trail, Osprey, FL.
