It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Alfred Adam Morga. Alfred is survived by his beloved wife, Marianna Potap Morga; four children, Edmond Kopinja and his wife Jadwiga of Bristol, Therese Ortola and her husband Henry of Berlin, Michael Kopinja and his wife Marylou of Port Charlotte, FL, and Monique Theriault and her husband Lloyd of Forestville. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Danielle Messier, Johnny Kopinja, Jeannette Broyles, Jennifer Chartier, and Susan Woike; six great-grandchildren; and a special sister-in-law, Jean Zbrozek of New Britain. He was predeceased by his brother, Jan Mossakowski. Alfred was born in Germany on Sept. 25, 1926, and was the son of the late Jan and Maria Morga. In 1962, he moved to America to provide a better life for his family. He was a resident of New Britain for the past 47 years and was formerly employed at Atlantic Tool and Hood in Newington, before retiring 17 years ago. He was a member of St. Joseph Church. Alfred was a hard working man and was devoted to the well being of his family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.
