Alexandra Burgess

Alexandra Basigalup Burgess, 45, of Plainville, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005 at New Britain General Hospital. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she was the beloved daughter of Edward And Nora Basigalup of New Britain. She was a former New Britain resident before moving to Plainville three years ago. Alexandra graduated from the Mary Immaculate Academy in 1977. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Megan Elizabeth Burgess; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Gustavo and Lori Basigalup; Edward and Lisa Basigalup, and Christopher Basigalup; two nephews, Matthew Paul Basigalup and Tyler Maxwell Basigalup. Friends and relatives are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday from 6-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the UCONN Foundation, AACU, 263 Farmington Ave., Farmington, CT 06032.
