OBITUARY: Alexander Hartwich Alexander Hartwich, 67, of New Britain, died unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 14, 2002 at home. Born in Poland, he was the son of the late Wilhelm and Emma Hartwich. He was a New Britain resident for over 40 years and was formerly self-employed as a Painting Contractor. Surviving are three sons, Alan Hartwich of West Hartford, Bruno Hartwich of Florida, and Carl Hartwich of Bristol; a daughter, Lenore Hartwich of New Britain; two sisters, Alice Fazzina of New Hartford, and Helga Ward of New Britain; and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons, Alexander Hartwich, Jr. and David Hartwich. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 4:00 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St. There are no calling hours.
