Alda Rita Floros

Alda R. Nicolini Floros, 83, of New Britain, died peacefully on Saturday, August 2, 2008. She was the beloved wife of Philip P. Floros. Born in New Britain she was the daughter of the late Jack and Adele Scagnelli Nicolini. Alda was a lifelong New Britain resident where she was active in the PTA and Children's Ministries at Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a Den leader in Cub Scouts and a Girl Scout leader for many years. Alda also enjoyed camping with her family. She was a member of St. Ann Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons and a daughter-in-law, Philip James Floros of New Britain, Dr. Robert Charles and Wanda Floros, of St. David, PA, her two daughters and sons-in-law, Dale Martha and Mark Turner of Lebanon, IN, Cynthia Lee Floros Kellerstedt and Roy of Waterford, six grandchildren, Mitchell Turner and his wife Sandy, Laurel Corbett and her husband Tim, Brett Kellerstedt, Brian, Tim, and Rebecca Floros, and two great grandchildren Alexandra Nicole Turner and Nathaniel John Corbett, a sister Theresa Kulis of New Britain and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 am at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Smith Island Leadership Training Center, 4018 Smith Island Rd., Ewell, MD 21824, or the Make a wish foundation, 3550 North Central Avenue, Suite 300 Phoenix, Arizona 85012-2127.
