Aida Iris Arroyo

Aida Iris Arroyo, 57, of New Britain, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005 at New Britain General Hospital. Born in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Otilio and Maria Arroyo. Aida was a New Britain resident for over 30 years and was formerly employed at CCSU and Sherri Cup. She was a member of St. Mary Church. Surviving are her beloved children, Ideliza Segarra and her financee, William Lopez of New Britain, Ramon Segarra of New Britain, and Alfredo Segarra and his wife Maria Lourdes of Plainville; five grandchildren, Johnny Ortiz, Justin I. Segarra, Krystina Segarra, Kiaymaria Segarra, and Karyn Segarra; four sisters, Alida Ruiz, Ernestine Herrera, Ramona Rivera, and Epifania Arroyo; four brothers, Domingo Arroyo, Ruben Arroyo, Hector Arroyo, and Agripino Arroyo; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Pedro Arroyo. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 7-9 PM.
