Agostino Prisco

Agostino Prisco, 80, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 7, 2024 with his family by his side. He was born on December 18, 1943, in Naples, Italy to the late Antonio and Maria (Ferrara) Prisco. Agostino immigrated here in 1960 and devoted 40 years to Tilcon in New Britain.

Agostino is predeceased by his loving wife Carol. The two met in their early twenties and married on May 26, 1967. They were married for 49 years before her passing in 2016. Agostino loved watching UConn Women’s Basketball and the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed his nightly coffee with Italian “S” cookies, cutting the grass, playing bocce and cards, and making homemade sauce on Sundays. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is so loved and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his son, Michael Prisco and his girlfriend Denise of New Britain, his daughter, Lisa Dubay and her husband Richard of Newington; along with his cherished grandchildren, Samantha Fazio and her husband, Christopher, Sierra Prisco, Richard Dubay, and Nathan Dubay. He is also survived by his sister, Francis Perna and her husband Angelo of New Britain, his brother, Joseph Prisco and his wife Barbara of South Carolina along with many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Agostino was predeceased by his siblings, Onofrio Prisco and Mary Perna.

Agostino’s family would like to express their deep gratitude to the Hospital of Central Connecticut staff for their wonderful care and support during his illness.

Funeral services with visitation for Agostino will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann Church of St. Joachim Parish, 101 North St., New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
