Adele M. Rinas

Adele M. Rinas, 81, of New Britain went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008. She was the widow of William Rinas who died in 2002. Born in Berlin, CT, Adele was the daughter of the late Gustave and Anna Gurski Haman. She was a long time New Britain resident and was formerly employed at Rinas Oil Service. Adele was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher. She was a member of WELCA Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, the Gideon's Auxiliary, and various church groups. Surviving are three sons, David Rinas and his wife Doreen of Pepperell, MA, James Rinas of New Britain, and Mark Rinas of Windsor; a sister Irene Kirschner of West Hartford; three grandchildren, Joshua David Rinas, Kendra Doreen Rinas, and Rebecca Lynn Rinas; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Bruce Steinway officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday evening from 6-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 295 Arch St., New Britain, CT 06051 or to Gideons International, PO Box 272, New Britain, CT 06050.
