Abimael Del Rio

Abimael "Maelo" Del Rio, 33, of New Britain died unexpectedly on Monday, July 10, 2006 at home. Born in San Turce, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Antonio Del Rio of New Britain and the late Myriam Rodriguez Del Rio. He was a New Britain resident since 1983 and was employed at Washington Auto Service. In addition to his father Antonio, he is survived by a daughter, Erica Del Rio; two brothers, Jose Del Rio and Alex Del Rio; his grandmother, Obdulia Olivera; all of New Britain, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St. New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday from 7-9 PM. Donations may be made to the family, in care of the funeral home.
